Queen's Comedy Club is a comedy night that has been running at Queen's Students Union since 1993. Compered each week by Colin Murphy, the club has seen all the now major comedians, such as Peter Kay, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Sean Lock, Ed Byrne, Jason Byrne take to the stage. The last 14 years has really seen a who's who from the comedy world.
Last year for the first time seen many young Irish acts taking to the stage such as Bernard O'Shea, Robbie Bonham and John Lynn. We also seen some of the veteran Irish comics like Joe Rooney (Father Damo from Father Ted) and Kevin Gildea. Jason Byrne whose Elvis impersonations will leave anyone that seen them scarred and in convulsions at our St Paddy's Special. Other acts that entertained us included Gavin Webster, Tom Stade, Andrew Maxwell and many more.
Next year promises to be even bigger than last year, with some of the funniest comedians on the circuit taking to the stage. We kick off events on Wednesday 24th September with a freshers special and then the real fun starts on Wednesday 22nd of October.
